Door Supervisor Refresher Course Details
Who is the Qualification for?
Any operatives who have a Door Supervisor badge who need the additional top up skill.
What’s Covered?
The course requires learners to be able to read, write and understand English. Learners must be aged at least 18 or over and provide 2 x suitable photographic ID prior to the exam.
It is an SIA requirement that training centres must confirm that each learner is sufficiently qualified in First Aid or Emergency First Aid. Therefore, all candidates will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
The First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date.
You will need to present your First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate to us before you start SIA Door Supervisor training.
If you don’t have a valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate we provide this course as an extra day to this course.
About the course

Required: First Aid Certificate & SIA Door Supervisor Licence. Age 18+
Assessments are included
How long does it take for the license to come through?
Generally speaking, it can take between 3-5 weeks if there are no complications with the application. However, incomplete or incorrectly completed applications can take significantly longer.

Our office is open every weekday 9am – 4pm, a deposit to secure your place is required and will be paid prior to the start date of the course, once you arrive full payment is required. Please call 01922 634 453
What happens if I fail the course?
Quite simple. You can re-sit again free of charge. You can also sit through any of the units again if you choose to. That’s free too! In the unlikely event of you scoring particularly badly on any of the modules we will make a recommendation on what you should do next.
Can females apply?
Yes. The course is non-discriminatory. There is a greater demand now for female Door Supervisors and Security Guards as they can assist in the searching of female customers.
English is not my first language. Can I use a dictionary for the test?
Yes, you may use a paper dictionary, but NOT an electronic one. The invigilator will need to check it before the exams, to ensure it conforms to the awarding body’s requirements.
